Library Internet
In-library internet use is available to the public and to patrons in good standing for a maximum of 60 minutes each day, depending on reservation availability. Internet users must come into the library to reserve a computer.
To enter the internet, users must read and agree to the Merced County Library’s Internet Policy shown on the computer screen each time they log into the internet. All access to the internet and to internet computers ends 15 minutes prior to the library closing.
Reserving A Computer
The library does not accept phone reservations for computers. You must be present to schedule your own time for the day of use and the time slots available that day. Access to public computers is on an in-person first-come, first-served basis.
Time Allowance
Everyone in good-standing with the library qualifies for a total of 60 minutes per day on public computers. Staff members cannot extend that time limit. Juveniles must have a signed permission on file for internet access. Children may also receive 30 minutes per day on non-internet computers in the Children’s Room of the main library.
Printing
Printing is allowed from the library computers with a fee of $0.20 per page in black and white.
