Update Process
The Community Plan Update process follows the general phases:
Background & Analysis
- Review existing data such as existing plans and maps
- Seek community ideas in visioning of plan
Plan Development
- Use community vision to develop policy and land use alternatives
- Obtain input on alternatives
Community Plan & Environmental Impact Report (EIR) Drafting
- Draft community plan with public input
- Prepare EIR and related technical documents
Review & Adoption
- Revise plan based on public comment
- Present plan through County review bodies
- Capture additional community input
Implementation
- Process development proposals consistent with community vision
- Carryout programs and projects identified within the plan
- Seek additional funding opportunities to implement the plan
