Remote Accessible Vote by Mail (RAVBM)

Merced County now offers a Remote Accessible Vote by Mail (RAVBM) system to deliver ballots to voters with disabilities, military and overseas voters. Voters can request and receive access to the Remote Accessible Vote by Mail system. Merced County has selected Democracy Live Secure Select to provide this service.

The Remote Accessible Vote by Mail (RAVBM) system allows voters with disabilities to download and mark their correct ballot privately and independently using their own assistive technology, print their marked ballot, and mail it to the Elections Office to be counted.

What Is Remote Accessible Vote by Mail?

Voters can access and mark a ballot in a screen-readable format from any computer with Internet access. Marked ballots must be printed and returned to Merced County elections office by mail or in person. To ensure the privacy of the voters’ selections, the accessible Vote by Mail system does not store or transmit the voters’ selections over the Internet. Voters can access the service anytime, day or night during an election period.
