Division Manager Jennifer Medeiros began her career with the Merced County Probation Department on January 4, 2010, as a Juvenile Institution Officer at the Iris Garrett Juvenile Justice Correctional Complex (IGJJCC).
On August 13, 2012, Jennifer quickly advanced in her career and promoted to Deputy Probation Officer, where she initially worked on the West Side of the county, stationed at the Los Banos office. Throughout her tenure as a Deputy Probation Officer, Jennifer gained experience in both Juvenile and Adult Court, Field Services, Placement Services, and the Juvenile Facility.
Recognizing her leadership potential and knowledge of Probation Services, led her to further promoting to Supervising Probation Officer on July 19, 2021. As a Supervisor, she held assignments in Adult Field Services and Juvenile Services, specifically, the In-Custody IGJJCC position. Over the years, she exhibited a profound understanding of the complexities of the justice system and established a genuine passion for rehabilitation and community reintegration. Jennifer has collaborated with an array of partnering agencies and service providers in her career. She has a passion for participating and taking on special assignments while representing the department. Some of the special assignments include, but are not limited to: Operation Christmas Star, Sober Fest, Rise to Higher Grounds Café, Solar Technology Program, and the implementation of the Learn. Inform. Network. Know (L.I.N.K.) Program.
On January 16, 2024, Jennifer was promoted to Division Manager and is assigned to oversee the Iris Garrett Juvenile Justice Correctional Complex. Jennifer Medeiros's career trajectory exemplifies her unwavering commitment to the field of juvenile justice and probation services.
