Judicial Treatment Services

Proposition 36


Judicial Treatment Services provides community-based treatment services, instead of incarceration, to certain non-violent offenders who are arrested for use or possession of illegal drugs.

Eligible offenders receive up to one year of drug treatment and up to six months of after-care services in a licensed treatment program.

Deferred Entry of Judgment Program (DEJ)


DEJ provides community-based educational services to first-time, non-violent offenders who are arrested for use or possession of illegal drugs. Successful completion of this program allows the offender to have record of the eligible offense taken off their record.
