Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program

Services

The Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP) provides services for Medi-Cal eligible women to improve their health during pregnancy and give their babies a healthy start to life.

In addition to prenatal medical care, CPSP services include:
  • A comprehensive prenatal risk assessment
  • Services to address problems identified through that assessment
  • Health education
  • Nutrition services
  • Psychosocial support
  • Preconception and Interconception Education
Services for these women continue for up to 60 days after delivery of their infants.

Perinatal Services Coordinator

Working from the Health Department, the Perinatal Services Coordinator assists local prenatal care providers in meeting CPSP certification requirements and provides them with technical assistance after they are certified.
