Overview
Work experience can be very valuable during a job search. Many Welfare-to-Work (WTW) participants lack adequate work experience, which sets up one more unneeded barrier. The WTW program seeks to overcome this.
How The Program Works
Work Experience Placement finds temporary job placements for WTW participants with local businesses in a variety of fields. The participant is expected to demonstrate good work habits and in return, if the participant provides sufficient skills and abilities, the temporary position may be offered full-time.
In situations where full-time employment is not achieved through Work Experience Placement, the participant will still generate another referral and employment history for their resume.
