SHERIFF’S OFFICE SWEARS-IN A NEW LIEUTENANT, CAPTAIN, AND UNDERSHERIFF:
Sheriff Vern Warnke and the Merced County Sheriff’s Office had the privilege of administering the Oath of Office to a new Lieutenant, Captain, and Undersheriff. Lieutenant Delray Shelton has been working for the Merced County Sheriff’s Office since 2006 and has experienced many different aspects of the agency throughout his career. Lieutenant Shelton was administered the Oath of Office and his brother pinned on his new badge. The Sheriff also had the privilege of swearing-in Captain Aaron Rosenberg who started his career as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff in 1998. Captain Rosenberg has worked for the Sheriff’s Office for nearly 23-years. Captain Rosenberg’s family was present to pin on his new badge.
Sheriff Warnke also had the honor and privilege of Swearing-in his new Undersheriff, Corey Gibson. Undersheriff Gibson started working for the Sheriff’s Office in 1997 as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff and worked his way up the ranks for 24-years before being selected as the new Undersheriff.
Please join me in congratulating and welcoming our newest command staff members as they assume their new responsibly’s and lead our agency forward.
