In a further response to escalating gang activity in Merced County, District Attorney Larry D. Morse II and other local law enforcement leaders introduce a new tool for the gang unit they established in 2007. The Merced Multi-Agency Gang Task Force now has local and toll - free tip lines to combat gang violence.
