Tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023), Merced County officials will be at the future site of Santa Nella Park to receive $310,000 in state funding secured by the Senator Anna Caballero.
This funding will compliment prior efforts Merced County has made to bring a park to the community of Santa Nella, which does not currently have a traditional community park. Once constructed, Santa Nella park will provide residents with picnic tables, a playground, barbecue areas, restrooms, game tables, shade structures, and open space to enjoy. The state funding provided through Senator Caballero will support site grading, preparation, and utility installation. Merced County purchased the land last year at a cost of $150,000.
