[ARCHIVED] Welfare Fraud Conviction Results in Prison Sentence

Merced County District Attorney Larry D. Morse II announced today the successful completion of a felony welfare fraud case against defendants Jurline Jackson and John Leatherman.

On July 26, 2010, Judge Frank Dougherty accepted both defendants’ felony pleas. Jackson was convicted of one count of perjury and Leatherman was convicted of giving false information in order to obtain public aid.
