1. When are Board agendas made available to the public?

The County prepares and distributes Board meeting agendas in compliance with the Brown Act. Agendas are available online and are available at the Board of Supervisors Office. http://www.co.merced.ca.us/BoardAgenda/

2. Where are the Board meetings held?

The Board of Supervisors meets in the Board Chambers located on the third floor of the County’s Main Administration Building at 2222 M St. in Merced.

4. How are Board members compensated?

Adopted in 2007, Ordinance 1825 established the salary for members of the Merced County Board of Supervisors. Wages for Board members are set at 54.2 percent of Merced County Superior Court Judges’ salaries (Merced County is a subdivision of the State). The Chair of the Board receives an additional $400 a month for the increased workload associated with the position. Ordinance 1825 keeps Board member salaries in line with neighboring counties while removing the need for the Board to vote on its own salary increases when the cost of living goes up. Board members do not receive additional expense allowances.
